Aviation Industry in Berlin-Brandenburg

Starkes Netzwerk. Starke Region

The capital region is among the top three most important aviation technology regions in Germany. It is necessary to ensure this progress continues and further strengthen the Berlin-Brandenberg region as a high-quality region.

As the trade association for the aerospace industry, the Berlin-Brandenburg Aerospace Allianz actively brings together actors from economics, science and politics at the regional, national and international level.

Through its networking activities, the project aims to support and promote the industrial and economic development of the aerospace sector in Lusatia.

Our projects to date

SCBB3: Gemeinsam Richtung Zukunft

The Supply Chain Berlin-Brandenburg (SCBB) network aims to preserve the broad-based, diverse supplier base in the capital region and to improve its future competitive position. To achieve this, companies must address the structural changes taking place in the aviation sector and make the necessary adjustments. They can receive support in this process through the activities and initiatives of the SCBB network.

FELUFA II: Fachkräfteentwicklung bei der Einführung emissionsarmer Luftfahrttechnologien in Brandenburg

A two-year pilot project, FELUFA II, in which, in collaboration with project partners from industry, academia and research, the groundwork is being laid for the establishment of a new dual and more interdisciplinary degree programme leading to a Bachelor’s degree in low-emission aviation technologies

European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP)

In the face of global competition, it is becoming increasingly important for the European aviation industry to make the best possible use of its own innovation potential. The EACP is a network of European aviation clusters comprising 34 members from 13 countries. To pool their strengths, the BBAA is a member of the EACP.

Innovationsbündnis für die Entwicklung emissionsarmer Flugzeugantriebe (IBEFA)

Within the consortium, new propulsion concepts for aircraft engines are to be developed and tested, and a wide range of other activities in this field are to be launched. The aim is to get a technology demonstrator airborne within the next two years, on which a wide variety of electric propulsion configurations can be tested.
